  • 26 - 01 - 2010 - NEW: Dewulf Kwatro self propelled potato harvester

NEW: Dewulf Kwatro self propelled potato harvester

The new Dewulf Kwatro self propelled potato harvester combines three strong characters in a new, innovating harvesting concept. Easy handling, modularity & high capacity are the key words for the new Dewulf Kwatro, while all other Dewulf characteristics remain.

The two key characteristics quality & capacity come together in the new Kwatro machine. The Kwatro is not damaging the ridges before they come into the harvesting channel. The harvesting channel is placed in front of the tracks and therefore the ridges stay in shape until they come into the machine. The big Claas tracks of 900 mm. width reduce the pressure on the soil, and assist the harvester to perform even in the most difficult circumstances. Only 1 large tyre is placed on the back of the machine, which help the machine to manoeuvre gently in every field.

The cleaning system is based on the well known cleaning principles of Dewulf. The first three belts separate the soil from the product and the hedgehog belt removes the last soil & haulm out of the product. After the hedgehog belt an evolution cleaner, axial rollers or a by pass belt can be chosen as cleaning modules, which transports the product into the ring elevator. The decision which cleaning module should be chosen, depends on the circumstances in the field and the location where the harvester should perform.

The product will be transported to the bunker by a ring elevator and a large sorting table. The bunker of the Kwatro can be unloaded during harvesting, which results in a bigger capacity per day. The well known Claas cabin ensure the driver to work in a perfect and comfortable environment. The cabin is placed just behind the harvesting channel to ensure a good view on the harvesting elements. The Dewulf Commander Unit make sure that  the driver gets in touch with the machine in an optimal way. In this case the Kwatro can perform maximum in every field condition.
